ATLANTIC CITY, N.J -- Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa announced today Marguerit Pittman, a Browns Mills, NJ, resident and My Borgata Rewards cardholder, won $2.4 million on a nickel Wheel of Fortune slot
Wheel of Fortune Slots Super Spin Edition are a big hit and are now available in Central California machine early Saturday morning at 2:30 AM. The big payout marks Borgata's fifth jackpot of over one million dollars and second jackpot of over two million dollars, since opening less than four years ago.
Pittman, who became a My Borgata cardholder last April during her first trip to the hotel-casino and has been visiting Borgata at least once a month ever since, was at Borgata this weekend enjoying an "all girls getaway" with her daughter, niece, and friends.
"I really love Borgata because it's just like Las Vegas, but closer to home," explains Pittman. "It's perfect for us girls because of the hotel and restaurants like our favorite place, Wolfgang Puck American Grille."
Pittman was at Borgata last month for her daughter's birthday, and had some luck at the slot machines. She used her voucher from that trip to win the $2.4 million.
"I was playing at this one machine for some time and had depleted most of my winnings," says Pittman. "I decided to move over one slot machine to see if I had better luck and I hit on the first try."
Borgata has consistently offered the highest slot payout percentage in Atlantic City and on the East Coast, every year since 2004. Additionally, Borgata has continued to offer innovative promotions and generous sweepstakes like 2006's PowerPrize jackpot, which paid out over $2.4 million to over 19 winners and awarded nearly 10,000 My Borgata cardholders with $366,875 in bonus slot dollars.
"We would like to congratulate Ms. Pittman as our most recent 'big' winner enrolled in the My Borgata Rewards program," said Larry Mullin, President and Chief Operating Officer for Borgata. "We strive to provide our customers with world-class amenities, great customer service, and a rewards program with unique benefits, while offering the loosest slots in Atlantic City."
Borgata is a joint venture of Boyd Gaming Corporation and MGM MIRAGE.
