  and how to use them.

How often do you think about your casino strategy? If you are someone who follows your instinct, you may find your bankroll depletes quickly and winnings are scarce. A strategy can help address this, preventing losses and in some cases, they may even increase the chance of a win. Read on as we discuss why you need a casino strategy and how to use it to win big.

Why use an online casino strategy?

Using a casino strategy is not for everyone. Some people think this structured approach to gambling can take away a lot of the fun, making play methodical and calculated.

The first thing to understand is that no betting strategy can increase the probability of a win. To do this, an alteration must be made to the house edge and no online casino is going to let this happen. Only strategies such as card counting can do this, and that is almost impossible to do at an online casino. Try it in a physical one and you will soon find yourself banned.

You may then ask what the point of a betting system is. The value in them lies in minimising or recouping losses. They also prevent you from chasing any losses that have occurred, or gambling too much once you have a win and your pot increases in size. These are strong strategies in themselves.

Any gambling venture has the aim of putting you into profit. When you lose money, that becomes less likely. With strategies, if your bankroll remains close to its starting level, when a win comes along it is a profitable one.

Start by using online bonuses

The best strategy you can use when playing online is to use your bonuses. This is one not available in physical casinos and is a distinct advantage of online play. Bonuses often take the form of matched deposits. When you deposit a certain amount, the casino will provide you with the same amount in credit to play with.

Essentially, you get to play without using your funds. Should you win, you will always be in profit and you are not going to make losses, as it was not your money to begin with. The downside is that they do have wagering requirements, meaning you need to deposit a certain amount before you can withdraw winnings. However, if you plan to play regularly this is not an issue anyway.

Most casinos will have a range of bonuses on offer. They may even reward you for certain methods of payment. For example, many crypto casino operators don't have to pay certain charges if you choose this payment method. This is passed onto the customer in the form of bonuses and rewards.

Trying the Martingale strategy

One of the most famous gambling strategies, and a great one to start with, is the Martingale strategy. It is most commonly used for roulette, but it can be used in other games and is even used in some forms of investor trading.

Its concept involves picking a standard wager, which you use each time you bet. The amount only changes when you lose, in which case you double that wager and keep on doubling it. Once you have a win, you return to the standard wagering amount.

For example, if your standard wager is $2 and you lose, your next bet is $4. If you lose that, then you bet $8. Once you win, you return to the $2 wager and carry on playing. The idea is that this will reset your losses.

The downside to it is that losses can accumulate very quickly. If you have infinite wealth, that is fine, but even the highest rollers do not have that. You are always gambling on the assumption that a win is around the corner. Even in games where the odds are 50/50, that is not always the case.

Trying the Fibonacci strategy

The Fibonacci strategy is similar to the Martingale. However, instead of doubling your bet, you move up the famous mathematical sequence. This involves a number being the sum of two numbers that have gone before it.

1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21

The value of 1 is where your standard wager would be. For instance, imagine your standard bet is $1. When you lose, you double this to $2, which is 1 unit plus 1 unit. If this loses, your next bet is $3, which is $2 plus $1. If this loses, you then have $3 added to $2, so end up betting $5. When it wins, you return to your normal bet.

The Fibonacci helps you reclaim losses quicker, but the rate at which you accumulate them also increases. It is also harder to manage, particularly if you have a string of losses and you lose your place in the sequence.

There are plenty of other strategies out there. Some of these are only applicable to certain games, and some may work on many. Try them out using casino bonuses so you don't waste your bankroll and decide if they are for you. You may get lucky and find yourself with a winning strategy on your hands.
