Carnaval Court in Harrah's Las Vegas will host the Ultimate Flair Bartending Championship. Flair Bartending Championship I on June 27-29.
Contestants flip, spin, throw, balance and catch bottles, drinks, and various bar staples as they compete in one of four divisions: professional, semi-professional, tandem or female. The bartenders go head to head in a series of preliminary events during the first two days of the competition to vie for a spot in the finals on the third day. The first prize winner will be awarded $10,000 cash and the coveted championship ring. A total of 10 cash prizes will be presented to the top finalists on June 29.
The audience is awed by jaw-dropping performances, which in previous years have included pyrotechnics, acrobatics, creative costumes and high-energy music. A revolving stage keeps the competition continuous so there's never a dull moment.
The Smirnoff Vodka sponsored event, formerly known as "King of the Ring," is the nation's highest paying flair bartending competition and is sanctioned by the World Entertainment Bartender Federation.
