Readers' Poll Honors Agua Caliente Casino and Spa Resort Casino

PALM SPRINGS, California  --  Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage and Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs are two of the top spots for gaming, entertainment and dining in the Coachella Valley,
Spa Resort Casino is a haven for serious slot players.  according to readers of Desert Magazine.

Leading the pack when it comes to Poker was Agua Caliente Casino, which earned the top vote for "Best Poker Room." The comfortable space features 11 tables, the widest variety of limits in town and experienced, friendly dealers.

Spa Resort Casino and Agua Caliente Casino both placed in the "Best Casino" category. The full-amenity facilities feature the newest slots, table games and impeccable high-limit rooms. Spa Resort Casino and Agua Caliente Casino also lay claim to the most liberal Blackjack rules in the area.

In addition to gaming, Spa Resort Casino received high marks for dining and entertainment. The casino's Cascade Lounge tied for first place for its popular array of live music, Karaoke and meet-and-greet atmosphere. The Oasis Buffet was honored for having one of the best brunches in town.

In terms of recreation, the tribe's Indian Canyons won for "Best Hike" and the Indian Canyons Golf Resort placed for "Best Public Golf Course."

Desert Magazine's "Best of the Valley" poll has been in existence for 14 years. This year, some 13,000 votes were cast, showing residents' favorite spots for dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation.

In March 2008, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians will open a 16-story, 340-room luxury hotel beside the neighboring Agua Caliente Casino. The new facility will include deluxe rooms and suites and a resort spa / pool / cabanas complex in addition to an array of first-class amenities, including an ultra modern business / conference center, three restaurants, retail stores, pool, and spa.
