largest online poker site, but it also offers a fully downloadable client for Mac poker players. In essence, Full Tilt Poker members battling it out on the virtual felts with a Macbook Pro have access to many of the same features as their counterparts using Windows-based machines. Full Tilt Poker is one of only two sites that offer a downloadable version for Mac lovers.

The 12th FTOPS is shaping up to be one of the richest of all-time. It includes 25 events in several varieties of poker, including traditional Texas Hold'em, HEROS (which is HORSE, but in a different order),Pot Limit Omaha High-Low, Razz, and Seven Card Stud Eight or Better, just to name a few. The tournament series is capped off by a $535 buy-in No Limit Hold'em Main Event on May 17th that boasts a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool. The last time out, the featured tournament attracted 5,287 players and awarded $2.6 million in prize money. Alan "csimmsux" Geyer emerged as its champion, $456,000 richer for his efforts.

Similar to recent tournaments held on Ultimate Bet and PokerStars, MiniFTOPS events will take place at the same time as their FTOPS counterparts, but offer buy-ins that are typically one-tenth as much. The Main Event of the MiniFTOPS will surely attract quite a crowd, as a $55 entry gains access to a $500,000 guaranteed tournament. Full Tilt welcomes players from the USA with open arms and is home to acclaimed pros such as Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, and Gus Hansen.

Currently unfolding on PokerStars is its first ever Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). Mac poker players have flooded the site for the tournament series, which features events at three different stakes: low, medium, and high. Its two day-long Main Event kicks off on April 12th and features a $109 buy-in $1 million guaranteed tournament for low-stakes players, a $1,050 buy-in $3 million guaranteed for mid-stakes players, and a massive $10,300 buy-in tournament with at least $5 million up for grabs for high rollers.

The very first SCOOP event was held on April 2nd and attracted one of the largest fields ever for an online poker tournament. Many of the 27,134 players who took to the felts for the $5.50 rebuy contest came armed with Mac poker software. In the end, "Eetu100" emerged victorious from the field, banking $41,000.
